Oktoberfest may be ending soon, but Old Town Lafayette’s breweries are bringing out their #fall classics, so we can guide you through the best brews in our community.
There are many ways to wander through Old Town Lafayette, but when the temperature drops, the leaves begin to change, and the sweaters come out of the closet, it’s time to explore the fall brew options along our streets. We have a collection of breweries, and we want to guide you through where to go so you don’t miss out on all the options you have to choose from. Let’s hop to it!👇
Cellar West
🍺 778-B W Baseline Rd, Lafayette, CO
Cellar West founder & brewer Zach Nichols began his beer journey in 2009 while working at a small bottle shop in Madison, Wisconsin. He later learned to craft traditional lager and Belgian farmhouse ales while working at a small brewpub in the Midwest countryside. After heading to the Front Range in 2016 with his wife, Rachel, their longstanding dream of opening their own small, artisanal beer company was brought to life in a little garage space in North Boulder. There, nestled at the base of the foothills, Rachael and Zach founded Cellar West Artisan Ales. Two years and an 11-mile move later, Cellar West in Lafayette was born!
They have a variety of draft beers, bottles, and cans to go. Along with some tasty bar snacks for you and your friends to enjoy. Here are some of their upcoming events this month:
- Trivia on the Patio happens monthly on every first Tuesday with fun prizes to win, meaning it’s happening today from 1 pm – 3 pm.
- The Pretzel Box food truck will be hanging around on October 6 from 4 pm – 9 pm.
- Their Sunset Concert performer is Derek Dames Ohl and he will be there on October 6 from 7 pm – 9 pm.

Odd13 Brewing
🍺 301 East Simpson Street, Lafayette, CO
Odd13 Brewing was founded by Kristin and Ryan Scott, with the help of understanding family members. They are focused on hazy IPAs and experimental styles. Their artistry and craftsmanship go beyond the beer itself. With custom labels crafted by local friends, artists, and photographers, the art on their beer cans perfectly reflect Odd13’s unique brewery. Jesse Glenn, Kyrie Wozab, Matt Peck, and Joshua Gerics all bring their unique artistic flare to bringing Odd13 to life.
Odd13 has a huge selection of beers to choose from, and they always remember to keep their current beer list up to date with what’s new. From IPAs and lagers to seltzers and more, you are sure to find your next fall favorite here.
This week and next, they have a collection of food trucks stopping by to bring flavorful food to their customers. Here is who you can expect to see:
- Wednesday, October 4 – The Magic Food Bus
- Thursday, October 5 – Temaki Tornado Food Truck
- Sunday, October 8 – Lenin’s Wood Fire Pizza Food Truck
- Wednesday, October 11 – The Magic Food Bus

Romero’s K9 Club & Tap House
🍺 985 S Public Rd Lafayette, CO
Romero’s K9 Club understands that Old Town Lafayette is a place where people can gather with one another to enjoy a fun and relaxed environment while being able to bring their furry friends along. They believe that just because dogs have been domesticated, doesn’t mean they need to sit at home while their owners step out to socialize.
Their inside bar area is designated for people only, where they can enjoy a delicious beer with friends and family, but their enclosed pavilion allows on-leash canine companions and is temperature-controlled for year-round enjoyment. Their outdoor biergarten area is where you can let your well-behaved K9s off leash to play and feel free, but they have to be registered with Romero’s. They also have a gourmet grilled cheese food truck out back called The Waggin’.
Romero’s menu includes draft beers, cans to go, ciders, and sours. Along with their fun daily indoor-outdoor experience, they also have a Coal Creek Meals and Wheels Silent Disco event happening at Romero’s K9 Club and Tap House on Friday, October 20 starting at 7 pm.
Wag your tail over to their website and menu to get a preview of what to expect before heading to East Simpson Street to check them out in person!
The Post Chicken and Beer
🍺105 W Emma St, Lafayette, CO
The Post mixes a deep love of fried chicken with the desire to pair it with a delicious, food-friendly, award-winning beer. They moved to Lafayette in 2014. Their team knew they wanted extraordinary beer and exceptional brew masters to bring their flavors to life. They have three tenants for beer-making success that they still live by today: quality, balance, and drinkability. With that aim in mind, The Post’s beers have won lots of medals along their journey. In 2022, they won the Gold Medal for International-style Dark Lager at the Great American Beer Festival.
The post has a list of consistent beers and rotating beers that vary with each season. Meaning that they have some fall classics coming to the menu for you.
Post up at The Post after the work day or during a cooler weekend day with friends or family. You can take a look at their website and menu before making your way over, so you can get a taste of what you are in the mood for before you order.
William Oliver’s Publick House
🍺 201 N Public Rd #1C, Lafayette, CO
The initial thought for founding William Oliver’s Publick House started in the 1980s when Founder Ryan Wallace was a kid living in Germany. His family would frequent Biergartens to relax and unwind. Ryan loved how happy and connected everyone was when they were there. Ryan and his spouse Tiffany began to love the idea of opening a pub of their own. The first William Oliver’s Publick House was opened in Fort Collins in 2013, and 3 years later, Ryan and Tiffany teamed up with their friend Michael to create a second location in Lafayette. They chose Lafayette because Ryan had fond memories of spending time in the area growing up and loved the community. Overall, their goal was to bring back the spirit of the original Publick Houses. This means simple yet delicious food, quality drinks, and friendly service.
Although they have a passion for whiskey, their beer selection is equally as tasty. Their beers expand across hazy IPAs, citrus beers, stouts, and ciders. They even have a pumpkin ale right now that you need to try! It is the perfect time of year to try something new.
Whisk yourself on over to William Oliver’s Publick House to enjoy the best brews with a staff that will always put a smile on your face. Learn more about their traditional experience by visiting their website and menu.
