A fun, early-Summer jubilee honoring the music of the Grateful Dead, Dead West will take place at Cellar West Brewery in Lafayette, CO on Saturday, June 8th. Here’s the rundown:

• FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, WE WILL BE HOSTING A DEAD WEST WEEKEND KICKOFF NIGHT ON FRIDAY, JUNE 7th (Live Dead tunes from Crick Wooder’s Shawn Cunnane and DJ Akilimanjaro, Tarot Card Reading, Food Specials from Cosmic Coyote)
SATURDAY, JUNE 8th is the Big Event

– – – Grateful Dead tribute bands on the patio throughout the day: Gratefully Acoustic, Elle Michelle’s Grateful Holler, and Tumbledown Shack!
– – – Local, heady merchandise vendors onsite
– – – Special Event Beer Release in Cans & on Draught (Standing on the Moon White IPA)
– – – Limited edition commemorative Dead West art Tie Dye Tees
– – – Grateful Dead themed food specials from Cosmic Coyote Cook Shanty
– – – Plus a few other surprises!

The event kicks off Saturday at the brewery when we open at 1pm, and ends around 10pm (last band wraps at 9/9:30pm). Dead West is free to the public, and while it is adult-centric with loud music, crowds, and beer, children are welcome (Please leave pets at home for the day). Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
Lastly, this is a highly anticipated event and our busiest day of the year – we do have 20+ parking spaces (with free street parking a block away on Carr), but if you’re local, we suggest walking/biking to cut down on the automobile chaos.

We are so excited for another year of Dead West, and can’t wait to share some beers & dancing in the sun!
