Tucked behind Vintrey Honest Goods and accessed through an arbor-lined path, Foxglove isn’t your average neighborhood cocktail bar—it’s a modern-day wonderland where the experience is the main attraction, and cocktails are the charming sidekick.
“We had this little apartment behind Vintrey, and at some point we realized—why not turn it into something fun and meaningful for the community?” says Jordan Lewis, co-founder of Vintrey Honest Goods and one of the creative minds behind the project. “From the beginning, it wasn’t about opening a bar. It was about creating a space where people could slow down, connect, and feel like they belong.”
With a name inspired by the mysteriously alluring garden flower, Foxglove leans into a whimsical vibe—more Mad Hatter tea party than velvet-rope speakeasy. This garden bar is brimming with unexpected details, layered textures, and a touch of mischief. Think soft lighting, botanical cocktails, and a cozy coolness that welcomes both cocktail dresses and cutoffs.
Jordan Lewis and the team behind Vintrey have poured four years of heart and vision into this space. From day one, the goal wasn’t to open a bar—it was to build a space where connection blooms. That means you’ll find as many thoughtfully crafted non-alcoholic cocktails as boozy ones, priced for accessibility, not exclusivity.
Drinks at Foxglove are designed like stories—infused with teas and botanicals sourced from Old Town’s very own Little Herbal Apothecary and crafted with small-batch spirits. Everything is intentional, from the herbal garnishes to the tilework throughout. No detail is too small when the goal is to spark delight.
Staff are treated like collaborators and the menu is a living, evolving thing. Your bartender definitely had a hand in the seasonal specials!
A Place That Grows With the Community
Foxglove itself is 21+, designed for more curated adult evenings, but just a few steps away you’ll find a relaxed communal hangout. It’s all an interconnected ecosystem which includes The Yard, an adjoining event space that brings an interactive, family-friendly spot to Old Town Lafayette. It features a turf play area, pizza by the slice from our neighbor Ghost Box Pizza, a shaded deck with seating, and Punch Buggy serving legit Hawaiian shaved ice made from scratch with handmade syrups out of a vintage Airstream. The space is fluid, designed for daytime lounging, live music nights, private events, and pop-up activations.
More than just a destination, this is a space designed to be shared. There are already at least 10 public events planned—from makers markets in collaboration with Vintrey, to storytime for the kids, yoga on the deck, and dinner parties that bring together local businesses and benefit anti-trafficking efforts. But that’s just the beginning. This space is open to ideas, partnerships, and possibilities.
“We’ve built the space—but it doesn’t mean anything until people come and make it theirs,” says Jordan. “We want anyone to feel like they can bring ideas to the table—host something, try something, make something unexpected happen. This is a space for the community to play, connect, and create. If you’ve got an idea, don’t hesitate. This place is yours, too.”
Grand Opening
Mark your calendars for June 7. There will be live music, food from Butcher and The Blonde, shaved ice from Punch Buggy, and your first chance to walk through the garden gate into a new kind of cocktail experience.
This is a place to linger, laugh, and maybe sip something with a little lavender in it.
