Fiercely Vocal Studio Grand Opening Celebration

Celebrate the grand opening of Fiercely Vocal Studio – a new creative space in Lafayette designed for singers and speakers of all levels who want to explore their voice, movement, and creativity in a supportive, welcoming environment.

Join us for free interactive demos, performance classes, karaoke, group singing, and mini voice lessons. While the event is primarily geared toward adults, kids are welcome to join in the fun. Hourly prizes and activities run all day—perfect for anyone curious about vocal training, performance coaching, yoga, and somatic movement.

Hidden Stories of Waneka Lake Walking Tour

Waneka Lake and nearby Open Spaces have an amazing story to tell – one of pioneers and power plants, wildlife and waterways, farming, families, and much more. Take a 1.2 mile walk with volunteers from the Lafayette History Museum and Lafayette Open Space to learn the rich history of Waneka Lake and nearby Open Spaces. Ages 10 and older.

Tickets are free, but reservations are required. All donations will go toward support the Lafayette History Museum’s work of preserving and sharing Lafayette history.

Please note that stretches of the walk are unshaded – we recommend wearing sunscreen, bringing a water bottle, and bringing an umbrella for shade if desired.

If you need accommodations such as a wheelchair, ASL interpreter, etc., please let us know (ideally at least 10 days in advance) and we will do everything we can to accommodate you! Email info@lafayettehistoricalsociety.org with your request.

Candlemaking Workshop

July 26 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

This hour and a half workshop will teach you the basics of candle making. We’ll make some candles the old fashioned way in a historical candle mold, then make some to take home. Materials will be supplied but if you have a unique container you want to make into a candle, bring it! Pre-registration required. $40 includes all materials.

LAUGH Summer Art Crawl

Tickle Me Pink and Make Me LAUGH! This June 28th, a flock of 35 bedecked, bejeweled, and bespeckled flamingos will be your tour guide around a 1-mile loop of Old Town Lafayette where you can discover fantastic, fancy, frilly, fine art. Head Over Heels The Musical

Kickoff Party for Lafayette Music Fest 2025

YOU are invited to kick off Lafayette Music Fest’s official 2025 ticket sales with a party! Come on over to Acreage in Lafayette for some live music, tasty cider, beautiful views of the flatirons, and some fun!

There will be chances to win FREE festival passes, opportunities to buy your 2025 festival tickets for October, free drink giveaways, and some great live music by local rock band The Ephinjis! Doors open at 6pm and we encourage you to come hang with some of the 2025 performers, the festival organizers, and our host, local music nonprofit Rock For The People!

Lafayette Music Fest is hosted by Rock for the People, a local nonprofit organization that cultivates a diverse, inclusive and equitable local music community in Boulder County by removing barriers for performers, audio professionals, and music fans who are often underrepresented in our local music industry. Rock For The People offers free and low-cost rehearsal, recording, and marketing services and paid gigs for musicians and performers, plus paid opportunities for aspiring audio professionals. They prioritize serving and working with women, non-binary people, BIPOC, Hispanic, and LGBTQ+-identifying musicians, performers, audio professionals, and fans.
